some people just have a knack for being able to bend the rules

On Instagram, it's the same, they just don't talk about it openly.

The more they try to stop bots, the more it will become difficult for any new legit person to even signup to legitimately use the platform.
Because, to stop the latest sophisticated bots, they have to super tighten things to the extent that even legit useragents, IPs, etc are getting flagged by their algorithms.
Already lots of legit people trying to signup for Instagram, Twitter are having their brand new legit accounts instantly suspended.
