Stupid or OK?

Hello guys & girls,

I would like to ask you if it would be OK or plain stupid (..) to create some "older" content on a secondary blog I own.

What I mean, the blog is being updated on a regular bases since the start of Oct but my first entry was back in August. From Aug to Oct I've got like 5-6 posts. Would it be normal to add some content between those days just to fill the "gaps" and create some more interesting content for the blog or just post it from now on?

Although there's no harm doing that, i would reccomend you to post from the top again as people start reading new post from the top and not look at the bottom up so i would say this is a stupid yet ok idea.
 
Absolutely no harm and if it helps you, go for it.
It won't do anything though for SERP position.
 
There is no harm. You can see those new posts as private post that are now being made public.
 
It's fine to do that. I had to do it for content I recovered, I honored all the original dates from a blog that was lost, into a new blog.

If you want people to see the content urgently, then add it with the present date. If you're recreating a structure, or you just want to stuff the blog, add any date you want.

Careful though, some idiots add content for 2004 on a domain name created in July 2013....

I do not really "care" if people read those posts to be honest I just want to fill the huge date gaps..

Carry on with your thoughts, As per my view there are nothing wrong in this...

also make latest post in top, so as said above very few peoples see old posts
 

I don't see any benefit in doing that at all!

I would recommend you just do what you do daily and update the website ;)
