Stupid Idea? Or Potential?

So it's 2:36 am just got out of the hot tub, drunk I might add (great combination for the best ideas) and I thought of the following.

An ultra black hat membership site where every new product and all of the old are available for download.

Now, obviously, this is not going to go over well with marketers, and you would need offshore anonymous domain, merchant account, and servers so you wouldn't be slapped with a lawsuit.

Now of course there are warez sites, but only like 2% of us real marketers know about them, the hundreds of thousands of other marketers are broke and clueless.

So you charge whatever amount per month, low and affordable like $50, couple thousand members without breaking a sweat and that's 100k a month.

Figure 10k at the absolute highest a month to buy every new ebook video series and software out, supply the downloads in the members area....done.

I should mention that the hot tub and drunk is where I come up with my filthiest ideas for some reason, most of which are not worth the hassle.

Those who would inquire to buy membership to such a website would be those who would also find about the warez websites. So the question is, why would they buy at 50$ per month, when they can get it for free at warez websites?

I disagree, I think that if it was advertised a membership site to help IMers gain access to all the products they wish they could afford to buy for the low low price of $50 a month, I think you could grab 2000-3000 members quite easily.

Let's face it, most IMers are not black hat, but they are always salivating for new product launches like lambs to slaughter. I think offering them a solution like this would be well received by them, hated by the merchants.

If the items were tested and categorized, I could see myself interested... primary concern is not getting a virus smacked on me off some third world country idiot proclaiming they've got the software I need on a warez site...

I don't think this gonna work cause these ppl are after something free that's the key point they don't wanna pay for anything

... OR, it might work if the monthly fee is VERY low (like $5 to $10)...
but then you'll need thousands of members to cover the "hiding" costs that is evolved in such a [business]

If that's all what you are planning to have to avoid being hit by lawsuit...

Yeah there could be members... no everyone use torrent sites, and even if they do they have to value their time what they use to search new products from warez sites and time is money + warez sites are full of viruses etc...
IF porn sites can still sell their membership when there is lots of free porn available I cant see why this couldn't sell....

You're severely brain impaired if you're really thinking about doing this.

Nevermind the good points other members brought up, but consider how much work is going in. It sounds almost like a real business... why not make it legal?

no warez sites are a pain in the ass for average internet marketers, you need to download torrent softwares, contribute files to get files, and it can be very difficult to understand.

This would be a membership site where you would have categories and direct access to download every info product and resell rights product imaginable. All the top products in clickbank that marketers want but can't afford to buy them all.

I don't see myself doing it, I make enough money on autopilot, but for those super black hat people, it would be a gold mine.

1) Any idiot can figure out torrents.
2) Torrent software is free and easy to use and you do not also have to seed to download.
3) WHY PAY FOR SOMETHING WHEN YOU CAN GET IT FREE

I'd like to second that. The reason i do not use torrents and warez is for this reason exclusively. The only way you would make this fly is if you could promise virus-free software(which is very hard to do in user-based contribution)

Costs would be kept to a min. as most stuff can be found free, now if it came with a good review of each product, that would save time and money for a lot of people, now that would be worth some money!!

When a IM will become member of your website, it will become automatically blackhatter.

Grab 2000-3000 members easily? I do not think you know what you talking about.
Let's say you make the product and post on large webmasters forum with your offer. What do you think is gonna happen? You ll get banned and flamed immediately, cause you are selling warez.

The small percentage of webmasters who are really interested in this, are those who already can do a little bit of research and find forums like iranjava or bhw. They do not even need to know torrents.

Not to mention that a large portion of webmasters and people in general, ARE AFRAID to pay for WAREZ. Why? Cause if there is a lawsuit or something against the websites, the website owns information related to their customers- because they paid with a CC with real name or paypal, and they can be traced and accused for illegal download of files.

So, if you would think that paying for warez is a good idea, THINK TWICE.

IF you are so convinced that it work, then go ahead and do something similar to movies or mp3s. There are a lot more people paying for movies, games, or mp3s than for marketing ebooks. Why not make a membership site for them?

lol, i was just thinking about that cuz i remember reading a thread somewhere about how Nevarc chases down any illegal copies of his ebook.

i think the concept would work, you could really do it for most anything (there was that russian site i think it was allofmp3.com that offered songs for like $0.20/per download)... you could do this with movies... and other crap. only problem is if you get caught you're taking it up the tailpipe.

I'd like to echo some other people's suggestion here --- why not make it legal.

With some capital, you could outsource reverse-engineering/programming/re-packaging and value-adding of some good blackhat apps, set up a legal subscription site, and offer a new re-versioned software each month.

Contract some people to write a 25 or so good new niche PLR articles each month for a bonus, and you might have something.

Think about it --- if you're really projecting a limit of 1000 subscribers, I would up the subscription to $150/month because you're giving people all the previous apps plus a new app a month. Licensing the apps might be a better option --- if subscribers stop their subscription, their apps stop working after 60 days.

For that amount of cash, you should be able to outsource your application development and give your subscribers something worthwhile.

Now you're giving people a one-stop blackhat app shop.

You could even sell some of your software "one-off" style to give people a taste of what subscribers would get.

I just don't see the need to rip off other people's apps and run the legal risk, when you can be a little creative like this.

Ok, its a whole lot more complicated, but if you have a nice list of people who are interested in this, why not make a newsletter, every once in a while send a link to them with the latest link and earn by the download or etc, maybe use CPA-lead kind of thing or etc...

because I cant see any other way for this to work, considering that those guys most probably wont have $50 to spend on the membership especially warez membership, but on the other hand, you will never know how far people would go...
