Hey guys,
I have seen a lot of people on BHW making a small spelling mistake. I don't mean to be the spelling police, I make spelling mistakes all the time. Just a friendly fellow member trying to help you correct some of your errors.
The mistake I have been noticing is the word "stuffs."
"Stuffs" as a noun is incorrect. The reason it is different from other collective nouns is because it is also a mass noun. Words like rice, water, smoke, and cement are all mass nouns (or uncountable nouns). You could say "several piles of stuff" to make it plural, but not "several stuffs."
I'm pretty sure most of you making this mistake are from India as I am currently living in India and have noticed this mistake a lot here.
