What tools do you guys use to work out how your competition got to the top of the page? I am thinking about buying SEO Powersuite, but if you guys have any other recommendations I would love to hear them.

Well i use Google webmaster and Google Analytics tool to keep track of my site.I also use Google AdWords tool to search keywords.

Yes, I think Open Spyglass is made by the same comapny as SEO Powersuite

I use Traffic Travis, they have released a new version which has been integrated with Google adword tool. I don't need to go directly to the adword tool for find keywords, i can check back links, competitions and much more.

Back in those days it took me several hours to find good less competitive keywords, with this new tools within 45min i can have a handful of buying keywords.
