Hey guys,

I'm considering going back to school next year to study marketing (at TAFE, aussies will know what that is). While not directly related to IM, i'm sure i can learn some new things and i've got the time to spare to study the course.

Anyone had any good or bad experiences? I'm hoping I'll be able to meet some like minded people and perhaps collaborate on some projects as I feel a little isolated working on my own.

Well, funny you should ask because I'm having a bad experience in law school right now. I'm a bit fed up with law school right now that I decided I'm going to take a break next semester and pursue less stressful activities.

In a couple of weeks, I'll be free to concentrate on blogging and other web-related stuff. Hopefully, I'll be able to build a good inventory of income-generating blogs in addition to a major website I'm also launching next month. Right now, I'm rather excited on applying several moneymaking stuff I found here. Hmm. I can't wait for the semester to end.

Incidentally, I'm planning to create a group here called Blogger Brigade as soon as I have my blogs reorganized. Maybe we can share ideas.

I'm studying marketing at uni, I love it. Its a major for a Business degree, this semester I'm doing internet marketing :)

What are the courses tafe offers? Is it just for your own learning or are you going for a specific job?

I'm going to RMIT in 2011 to study creative advertising if that helps.

Yea it all depends if you wanna be a suit or a creative.

I guess Blackhat IM is more towards the suits but definitely creatives have their own part in IM as well.

It's just for my own learning, no specific job but it might come in handy further down the line.

Creative Advertising sounds interesting, what's that entail ?

I'm speaking from the perspective of an American in the American job market, so this may or may not apply to you. You might want to consider a business degree, which will include some marketing, but give you a more broad course of study. Business Administration with a focus in marketing is an option at many schools here in the U.S.
