Hey everyone, I've been glued to positions 12-18 for the past month for a 300,000 exact search term. This keyword would single handedly increase the value of the site in question from a measly 10$ a month earnings to over $500. Personally, that would be a GREAT leap in income even as I diversify my income streams.

Okay I've tried the following:
6 Web 2.0s
100 wiki links
1000 article marketing blast
~10 edu profiles
Scrapebox AA to tier 1 & t2
400+ social bookamrks
On Page Optimization is about as good as you can get

Now- What would you suggest I try to do?

I'm really down for anything. If you need any information let me know!

Try a serious service - bigbuddy, btb and couple other guys have services that will do the trick

Any suggestions or experience in a similar hard keyword? I have tried several services which have literally plunged my sites in the past. If somebody has the holy grail right now, I'll try it.

What's the PR and how old is the site itself? If the site is only a month old, my man: Patience.

Keep building your links week by week, and raise the amount incrementally to what will be sustainable, natural, and easy for you to do each week. Keep working on it adding diversified content and you'll keep marching up (I only say this because I don't know if you're already doing this. I suspect you are, but just making sure).

Start promoting through social media too

great point, it really depends on the age of the site. If it's ranking 12 right now for 300K plus then you're almost there. I wouldn't try anything too risky at this point since you're almost there. Looks like with time you may move in.

Also try to research the people in front of you in the serps. What links do they have that you dont? what type of links are you missing? they may be the best indicator as to why you're not moving up.

good luck and let us know if you finally make it!

I'm trying a service by marrrko right now but a really safe service might be leiths weebly/tumblr an I've been ready some really good reviews

What's the number of links you made so far? Roughly?

Anyway, you need to continue with link building, and you should never stop even if you are on the 1# for all your terms, and diversify a lot, that's a key, nothing else.

There is no holy grail, each situation has a different magic sauce that seems to work best. It doesn't look like you've had to go too hard to get here and you're right on the edge of some serious traffic.

I'd say try a few of the higher end services here, focus on quality, and then add some more content to the site. I don't think anyone would say adding quality content could ever hurt your site. Also, diversify the content by getting some quality videos and images that are unique to your site. Good Luck!

I've been reading into this .edu pyramid strategy and am thinking about trying it on my own, but I think anything with a large number of layers should work very well for your situation.
edit:I don't think I'm allowed to post service threads, but it's by bigbuddy.

Try Jstover77. He is doing wonders for me on keywords other services couldn't budge. Not to mention, according to others, he has helped rank some iphone keywords.

Site's about 8 months old and still PR0 lol. Just doesn't want to bump up a PR for me. Yeah I have been doing this with a wide diversity of link types.

Many of their high end links are from blog farms, so I've jumped in a bit to see if HPRS will help a bit.

Honestly, I haven't kept track. Yeah I know man, and I have- I just want this one to be conquered.

Thanks man, I know which one you are talking about. I'll decide soon what my next course of action will be.

Nice will definitely read some reviews.

There is also the linkpusing service which has had great reviews here on BHW.

You've used a lot of different kinds of links thats good but the quantity is less.

Get more of everything. Use different anchors.

Definitely get more web 2.0's, up to you as their network will probably get de indexed soon but I've had great results with ALN

Try some private networks with high PR. That sounds like the final push for most sites around here.
