I've dropped down to 4 from 1 after the Google update.

Nothing I am doing seems to be having an effect.

Anyone doing something now thats moving your sites up?

I think you need to analyse why the 3 sites above you have been considered better matches for the search term than yours. Number and quality of backlinks would be first. Content and on site SEO. You should know what to look for if you got to number 1.

I noticed some of my sites dropped like this too, after the update.

What worked for me was changing the anchor text of my high PR links (since I have control over those).

I believe that the new update now penalizes over-using the same anchor text for your links, even more than it did before.

Once I varied the anchor text of my high PR links quite a bit, and starting building new links with anchor text varied quite a bit more, my rankings came back on most of my sites, if not all.

Just a suggestion.

To regret i dont know ur site url and keyword but im 99% sure u need to update ur content and create 5-10 high PR backlinks ( no profiles ), its always help in cases like your...

get some authority backlinks.. and try out tom's service, hes really good..

Think this is for majority of the people.. But like others said try building some authority backlinks, also it can be a time factor. Never know :p

Write more articles and do more backlinks. Other people in your niche are also working to improve their ranking. It's an on-going process.
