Stubborn reddit moderators. How you do cope with them?

Just have to respect the sub rules really, there isn't much you can do.

Some subreddits are controlled like that nothing you can do. Best move is switch subs, post in related communities, or DM users directly instead of fighting mods who won’t change.

Just move on. There must be other subs without the drama.

I want to promote my service by replying to a Reddit post, but a stubborn moderator (who also promotes his own product ONLY) keeps deleting any comment that mentions anything other than their site.

(I had no problem posting anywhere else, I have high karma accounts & promoting is subtle.)

Any ideas?
You sound exactly like the type of person I ban in my subs.

Reddit mods can’t be bypassed safely. Your best bet is to focus on other subreddits, post genuinely helpful content, and avoid self-promotion in threads where mods are strict. High karma helps, but rules override it.

Find another sub. Or make your own, trying to drive traffic to your new sub

The only real power you have is to outrank them on Google. You can't win inside their subreddit because they control the content.

Focus on making a better, more helpful resource than their Reddit thread. Create a long-form guide on your own website that directly answers the main question of their popular post. Make it more detailed, with better examples, and optimize it for the same search intent.

Then, use social media and forums to drive traffic to your guide. Don't link to it directly in their subreddit. Instead, share it on Twitter, LinkedIn, niche forums, and other relevant communities. The goal is to get enough external signals (backlinks, social shares) that Google sees your page as the more authoritative answer.

Over time, if your content is genuinely better and gets more traction from the wider web, it can outrank the Reddit thread in search results, siphoning off their organic traffic. That's the only leverage that matters when a mod is often gatekeeping.

If a mod doesn't want you there doing what you do, then you won't be there
