Stubborn reddit moderators. How you do cope with them?

I want to promote my service by replying to a Reddit post, but a stubborn moderator (who also promotes his own product ONLY) keeps deleting any comment that mentions anything other than their site.

(I had no problem posting anywhere else, I have high karma accounts & promoting is subtle.)

Any ideas?
 
Advertise on BHW
you cant work with them so either make them think your not trying to take their buyers or go for the less ethical way and get his reddit banned

Make your own subreddit and compete with them.
Buy upvotes for social proof and make long posts so you can try to appear in google search too.
 
Nothing at all, there's nothing you can do about it except work with him or accept that he won't share his traffic with you. Try creating your own subreddit and you'll feel the same way when someone advertises on yours.
 
Built my own sub just to get the last word... revenge traffic feels good.

Even the Reddit algo itself could ban you for placing link
And like some one said above,
Make it look like you helping out
While building a sub Reddit yourself
 
ıf one mod blocks you, dont fight it. Post genuinely, build trust, then share your service in dms or try other similar subs.

I wouldn’t go that far, though. Simply improving the Google ranking (moving a #2 reddit result up to #1) would be enough. So how can I help a page climb from second place to the top?
 
Use indirect value-based comments or dm interested users instead, because arguing with a biased moderator will only get your replies removed.

ig best way if you want to work with the mods is to show them your not taking their reach or trying to really benefit from it since that will prob be the main cause of the problem, id just slowly make them trust you ig and bit by bit work to it if you really want to become bigger in the thread
 
Build trust contribute meaningfully in the community once people know you, sharing your service becomes much smoother and accepted.
 
You might also try creating a separate, dedicated account for promotion and participate in smaller, related subreddits where moderation is less strict.

Focus on adding value in comments and avoid direct promotion to stay safe from strict moderators
 
try to get the a direct offer if u see their subreddit is truly worth it, otherwise, i would rather create own subreddit, and build it slowly, would convert way better for u as u ll be the admin, but ll definitely take more time and effort

This is Reddit we’re talking about - if the mod sees OP “threatening” their own service, then it’s super easy for them to just create an automod rule any time those keywords are mentioned. Meanwhile OP is going have to put in a ton of time and energy in every attempt.

My advice is to find other subs. The good thing about Reddit is there are tons. And in the absence of one, you can create one and promote it as “open to all ideas and products”, and not just the mod’s own product. I know easier said than done, but still I think easier than trying to wage a war against someone who holds nearly all of the cards.

I can find other subs, but the truth is that only the top ones will bring traffic

Yeah, some mods are strict or biased. Best bet is to avoid anything that looks promotional and keep replies neutral. Engaging naturally first usually helps. Curious how others deal with strict mods too.
