Struggling with dropshipping? Method I found for quick starting new stores

i came across an article online about dropshipping with IG shout outs and it looks very genuine. right now the typical traffic method for these dropshipping stores is simple, go on facebook and start paying for ads. people will do this and what they will notice quickly is that cold traffic from fb ads SUCKS. you will spend lots of money inefficiently testing ads with the goal being to build a user base so you can focus on re targeting them. why not skip ahead by using ig shout outs?

basically the idea is this:

1. create a new store in a solid niche, add 30 products and make it look super professional and trustworthy. good theme, good support, etc. appear that you are open for business
2. install facebook pixel to track visitors to your site
3. send DMs to niche related IG pages with over 50k followers. negotiate prices and the terms for a shout out and pay with paypal
4. wait for traffic and sales
5. create a facebook custom audience re targeting these initial website viewers with ads. also create a look-a-like audience of these same viewers and target with ads

by doing this you efficiently spend your money on niche related website views. even if you don't make enough sales to break even on the IG shout outs, you can still use them to season your pixel. now you can target these people and similar people which will probably be better than simply cold traffic from facebook. if you don't get enough website views from 1 shout out, perhaps you can buy a few more until you get a decent amount

this is just an idea to get new stores off the ground when they are struggling with traffic. i'm not sure how successful it will be when applied, but it sure sounds better than spending $10 per day on facebook ads fiddling with settings and wasting money all the time

The problem i get is finding ig influencer that will convert. If they are good, they usually charge $100-$1000. You need to contact a bunch of them and maybe 1 of them will be interested.

these are the rates i found:

20k~50k followers = US$ 10
50k~150k = US$ 10 – 25
150k~300k =US$ 25 – 40
300k~500k = US$ 40 – 60

but yes i have no idea how good these shout outs actually are. the number of website visits could be really shitty from a $20-40 shout out, this is something that i haven't tested yet
