Hi. I have a locksmith business and running google ads for more then 6 months on and off.
i'm struggeling to get some good results, ads managers keeps changing promising a lot and deliver little telling me to wait and i'm waiting for weeks and months and nothing is changing. Money is spending like crazy, getting 3 calls a day from some campaigns, 7 on another one in a different area(this one perform the best), and some other locations i have days with 0-1 leads a day.
Quality score is kinda fine (some are with 8 whille some with 5). Impression share lost is 70% in some cases and some other with 50%. I need more volume and can't figure out how. I stopped working with my google ads manager cause i'm tired from paying him and google and making almost no money.
I'm tired of getting people on Fiveer and Upwork who claim to be an expert but in the end wasting your time and money. They're fine with getting a chance for 2-3 months and then get fired, i'm not.
Where can i find some real google ads experts? (not looking for an agency since i don't want to be just another client plus they're charging crazy amount of money which in my opinion doesn't make sense.

It sounds like you're facing some frustration with your Google Ads campaigns and results, which is totally understandable when you're putting in time and money and not seeing the payoff. Try the following to see how it goes for you:

First off, if you're seeing low-quality leads or inconsistent performance, your targeting might need some tweaking. Maybe you're not dialing in your keywords and locations well enough, or your ads are too broad. Try narrowing down your location targeting even more, you could focus on a tighter radius around your business or key areas where you know you'll see better results.

Also, experiment with different ad copies and landing pages. The right copy and a relevant landing page can make all the difference in conversion rates. Testing is key here! Google Ads thrives on constant optimization, so even small tweaks can make a big impact.

As for finding a real Google Ads expert, try platforms like LinkedIn where you can check out people’s real experience and reviews before reaching out. You can also look for freelancers who specialize in Google Ads but are more experienced than the ones you’ve encountered. Just be cautious, see if they offer any initial consultations or audits of your current setup before committing. This will help you gauge their knowledge and approach without the risk of wasting more time and money.

Finally, keep learning. Sometimes managing your own Google Ads might end up being more cost-effective and efficient. Google offers some solid free resources, like https://skillshop.withgoogle.com/, where you can get certified and learn more about the platform at your own pace.

Good luck!

Stop wasting on agencies and freelancers—find trusted insiders on BHW or similar forums who share real hacks to boost volume and keep your spend low.

You’ll likely need a vetted freelance Google Ads expert on platforms like LinkedIn or specialized PPC communities rather than generic freelancers or agencies.

Look for vetted freelance Google Ads pros on LinkedIn or specialized PPC communities, not Fiverr or Upwork.

Try finding experienced freelancers on LinkedIn or BHW who specialize in local lead gen—they usually deliver better than random Upwork gigs.

I’d say try connecting with experienced freelancers on niche marketing forums or communities, they usually have real results and aren’t just selling services.

It sounds like your main issues are inconsistent lead flow, high ad spend, and unreliable ad managers. Here are a few suggestions:

If one location is bringing in 7 calls/day, double down there. Increase budget only where ROI is proven.

A 50–70% impression loss usually means you’re limited by budget or ad rank. Check if your bids or budgets are competitive enough, and work on improving your ad relevance and landing page.

You might try vetted platforms like Toptal or MarketerHire for more experience

A more reliable approach might be to focus on proven Google Ads strategies shared in established PPC communities and case studies. Engaging with knowledgeable members or learning from detailed optimization threads can often give better guidance than relying on broad freelancer platforms or generic agencies.

It’s often more effective to rely on proven Google Ads tactics shared by experienced practitioners and documented in detailed case studies. Well-explained optimization processes and insights from knowledgeable members usually outperform generic advice from agencies or large freelancer platforms.

you might get better consistency by working with someone who has verified Google Ads experience. Communities focused on PPC or professional marketing discussions can sometimes be more reliable than general freelance sites.

Analyze your competitors' ads and act accordingly. Optimize your ads to bring your quality score up to 10/10, and try different text. To determine whether it's strange that you're getting so few searches, I need to know your keyword volume. Is it a popular or rare keyword?

try fine-tuning your location targeting and testing a different bidding strategy
might help you get more volume

Focus on your best-performing locations first, use geo-specific campaigns, optimize high-intent keywords and ad copy, and increase budget where impression share is lost. Track calls carefully, refine your landing pages, and hire a certified local PPC consultant with real experience instead of agencies or Fiverr freelancers.
