Hi guys,

Hope you all had a good start in 2023.
Im new here and wanted to ask for some advice.

I am struggling to outperform the competition. We been putting some money in over the last 18 month but
the organic traffic (around 500 per day) is still a joke compared to the content we been producing on the website and how much time we spent
getting backlinks.

[Mod edit]

any advice is really welcome.
Thanks so much in advance.

Dwane!

1. is the content targeted around keywords with search volume?
2. is the content even indexed?
3. is it ranking? If yes, where? If no, you need to rank it by building links to it and to the homepage of your domain to increase its authority because strong domains usually rank easier
4. run your competitors through an SEO tool (Semrush / Ahrefs / Keyword Titan) to see where they beat you and you can catch up, or where you can beat them and adjust accordingly

Note: I never had clubbing / dating sites and so I don't know how google treats these websites, so my tips might not be correct (or they could be insufficient), but they're still a good starting point considering that your competitors are ranking.

Based on a brief backlink research of your domain it looks like a lot of your backlinks are very low quality spam links that provide no value other then keyword stuffing and link spamming. Looks the like the only blogs done are from the same website which I assume is your own which even then has a lot of spam on it. Didn't even bother checking on page.

Also pay attention to on-page SEO including interlinking articles within your website.

I literally read it as club hookers, so maybe thats one of the reasons?

As did I lol.

I was going to suggest in my first post that OP probably shouldn’t have shared his actual domain here, but it’s a bit late for that advice now.

In a brief search I didn't find organic results pulled a lot of content related to your site. Most of it was your own social media (I assume). All three of the competitors you listed have apps in the google and apple app stores together with a lot of promotion behind it. I'm not sure if a presence in either or both app stores does anything beyond a high DA backlink. I'd venture a guess all three have considerably larger footprints with advertising, social media and video. Not sure I would want to face off against those competitors without similar firepower.

Maybe consider switching to club hookers?
