Struggeling with Niche site

Hi all

Last year I have bought a niche site from a provider here on bhw.
Since then I have been working and improving on the niche site.
However the traffic that comes in is still very low.

Atm I rank on the 4 position in G for only 1 kw.
I have spent a lot of money on content, improvement and ranking of the site with very low results.
Actually spent all my budget on these things.

I have much trouble with ranking the site, even if the kw is easy to rank.
As for now I'm kind of stuck. Maybe the solution is straight forward for the most of you, but I'm not sure about what to do.
Can you please give me some recommendations what you would do?

Did you tried social media promotion?
If you didn't means promote your site social media. And one more thing is get links from authority sites. It will helps you to get rank
