Stripe problem

I'm in the process of setting up my Shopify store, and now I'm stuck in the payment gateway, and I need help.

The country that I am from doesn't support stripe, but I read somewhere that you still can open an account if you have a bank account in the USA, business address in the USA, phone no., and EIN.

And I have a bank account (Payoneer), mail forwarding address, a phone number, and EIN.

when I try and activate the account, they ask me for SSN, and I don't have an SSN, so I put 0000 an error popup saying (You must specify a valid SSN.), what should I put there?.

If I successfully activate the account, I heard that they ask for identity verification, is it okay if I send them my ID or passport even though I am from an unsupported country.

ssn is social security number. You only get one if you are a citizen of the usa. So you can't just fill in something. And i think you wont get away with sending a passport from a unsupported country.

@hendrikkk do you when will they ask for identity verification after activating the account?

I don't think they will ask you for SSN if you have EIN
But still if you are facing this issue the I would suggest you to apply for Atlas.

Or you can go with any other alternative to process Credit Card payments such as 2CO or Skrill
