What is the most accepted business model ? Say an android app would be accepted? Paid one ?

If you're planning to do a dropshipping business then don't waste your time on Stripe atlas. They're banning dropshipping websites left right centre.
Ignore the advice if you're planning on doing any other business.

mine wil be an apps + online training site , thanks for the info.

Stripe are great as are plenty of payment processors for physical goods.

If it's a membership site, they may be sympathetic to your needs.

my products would be software / apps / courses so no physical good at all.

Speak to a local accountant in your country first before you go registering a Delaware Corp (Which is what Stripe is offering).

I came very close to signing up. (Got in on the beta) - then had a talk with my CA and decided it wasn't worth the headache.

stripe atlas gives a one stop place to register a company and get a bank account , without much work .
I know what they do, i am wondering what you need it for?

I heard about atlas years ago, sadly no experience with them. But my general curiousity needs to be filled hehe.

because i'm an Indian living in India , itd be easier for me to register through atlas , rather than spending thousands of dollars and opening a company there ,and if why open a company in the u.s for intellectual property (easier for a u.s company to register patents )

Opening a Delaware company without Stripe doesn't cost thousands of dollars.

You'll have to structure your business and your FATCA status will change (Remember the form you signed with your bank account?)

You'll pay corporation tax for the company, as well as pay income tax in India. So double taxation.

isn't it double taxation for a private limited company in India too ? how's hat different ?? let's say i start a private limited in India , even then the company pays taxes and i'd pay income tax on my individual income , so what's the difference ?

It depends whether the US has a tax treaty with your country of residence.

If there is a tax treaty in place, then you will avoid double taxation and the company will be taxed where it has a permanent establishment (i.e. the place where you do the day to day activities, management decisions are made etc.).

An LLC is likely to be a more efficient tax structure as a single-member LLC is automatically disregarded by the IRS for tax purposes and any tax liabilities pass through to the individual. As this is often viewed as a hybrid entity, it can be a tax efficient if your country of residence views it this way.

Stripe is fine until your charge back rate goes above 1%. Which is common for digital goods. So depends what you are doing.

for me stripe atlas helps me open a bank account without travelling to the u.s , which is the main reasons for selecting this option ,

and stripe for now only supports incorporations (INC) for now for non-residents , so DTAA doesn't apply here ,as the tax on the company i.e the INC would be only in the united states , but as an individual i'd gain with the DTAA (for dividends and so on ..) .

my reasons for selecting a u.s inc , go way beyond taxation .
