Hi all,

I am curious if anyone in this space has had any experience running a streaming or IPTV service. I haven't ran this before but am really interested since I have great promotional tools and ideas for getting users to a sports streaming site. Just want to see if anyone has ran anything similar to this before and how difficult it might be, as well as what the total investment might look like. I got about 3 months time to get one up and running, since that's when college football szn starts and promotion will start there. I'd also like to see if anyone has any ideas on how I could promote this using search engines, since my main promotional ideas come from leveraging social media rather than paid/non-paid searches.

How much capital do you thinks is needed? I estimated a solid monthly budget of about $1,000/mo starting out, maybe $500 depending on how much time/effort you put into it
 
A few days ago, Europol raided the biggest IPTV provider, causing around 1 million people to lose their main source.

Additionally, a few days ago, Netflix completely blocked password sharing worldwide, affecting an estimated 100 million people who utilized the password sharing option and are now unable to access the service for watching movies.

Right now is the opportune time to start an IPTV service if you can offer both live channels and video-on-demand (VOD). With effective advertising, even reaching 10,000 members is easily achievable.

The price for a stable streaming service with HD channels and without buffering can range from $1.5 to $2 per slot, while for VOD, it can range from $0.8 to $1.5 per slot.

However, the only problem is that obtaining a stable service is currently very challenging.

My main concern at the moment is the infrastructure behind a successful IPTV/streaming site, rather than the marketing. Marketing/advertising will be extremely easy for this and have several ideas that have proven to be fruitful for others in the space. I am hoping to see if anyone on here has any experience behind one of these and could offer any advice or a place to get started, since I am sure that one or two people here could offer some valuable insights.
 
Actually, it's pretty easy and hard at the same time to start an IPTV service. It's easy if you know where to search for service providers, but it becomes hard after you start.

First, you will need a panel like 1stream or Xtream-UI where you can set up everything. You will also need a website where people can take a look at what you offer. The most difficult thing to obtain is a stable, high-risk payment processor.

You can search for providers on IPTV forums, but first-hand suppliers are mostly from China. You need to explore the "Chinese internet," which is like a parallel universe compared to ours, or find someone from China who can connect you with the right contacts.

As for VOD services, you can do it yourself to start. You can buy a G-suite account and use it as a streaming server. Download movies and TV shows on that account and stream them with a dedicated proxy until you start getting a decent number of subscribers. After that, you will need real servers.

P.s about payment processor many big iptv services used stripe as payment option, and now after the europol busted main suplier users lost their streaming access and start complaining asking for refund and stripe blocked a lot of accounts so far so dont do IPTV business with stripe EVER.

what can I use instead of stripe?
 
I've tryed xtream but it was a bit expensive for me. Now I'm thinking on trying some platform called Goose OTT, that it's free up to 1000 users (invitation code: 1CblMdZ6). If anyone here now this platform we can help each other
