Strange visitor stats on G-Analytics, what does it mean?

Check out my stats for Google Analytics. My visitors dropped dramatically on the 26th of May. I haven't checked it since but I did today and my visitors went back up? Can anyone explain this?

I've been doing IM for a year as a hobby, haven't really mastered the art yet.


25 May = 194
26 May = 43
....
5 June = 59
6 June = 229
7 June = 208

you probably dropped in serps then got re indexed thats it

AFAIK google had updates on the 26th may and 6th june.

We need more info, perhaps one of your traffic sources (search engines, referral, etc.) was down or something.

The dip in the graph is the ass crevice of Google when it sits on your rankings for a while.

Search engine was down, hence the thread. My Google natural traffic went down to about 30 a day!

Hopefully not a permanent problem on your part since I'm assuming you didn't do anything to your site to make it drop. Just Google being Google...

You should be able to compare this to traffic source right? Analytics has lots of tools for checking source and time of stay, bounce, etc... I haven't been using analytics recently so I can't remember what choices you have but I remember being able to check if it was search or twitter/FB

Your dates show penguin flux, so I was say it dropped in search and then came back due to another penguin update. You track your rankings?

I think your serp are rising now, your site again get re indexing, I think you keep update with using high quality content that reason your site re indexing.
