Hey guys,

I have a strange situation. When first I added backlink to website it has nofollow. Then I edit it and force ********.

When I check with firebug / quirk search status it shows ********. When I press ctrl+U, source code shows it is still nofollow.

How to explain it? Firebug should read source code and show real values.

Thanks for clues and answers :)

You can artificially force do-follow but it won't help as it already has the no-follow rel.

Yeak Ok. But why it shows ******** when it already has nofollow. I don't get it.

There's no such thing as "d0-follow". If a website has set links to be no follow, there's nothing you can do to change that.

I don't know for sure as I don't use firebug but it could be that with the site having nofollow links be default and then you force d0follow on it and firebug is just checking for the ******** tag and ignoring the nofollow tag. This would result in FB saying it is d0follow where the SEs would clearly see the nofollow tag and take the link as nofollow.

It sounds more like a small issue in FB than anything else.
