Strange ranking algorithm of Youtube?

Hi,

Today I tried to analyze some youtube videos and I was confused by it's ranking algorithm. I typed key word "fb masterclass" which is a product launch recently and here's the two videos promoting it of the same owner:

1) /watch?v=5Ipz_BRvSyM <- this video is ranked 2nd and it has only nearly 50 views, no likes, no backlinks(I checked on ahrefs), no social signal
2) /watch?v=FH8y5RNBbJs <- this video is ranked 13th and it has nearly 800 views, 19 likes, some backlinks and social signals.

Sorry I can't post link, please put youtube domain before /.Even the description is the same?How can video 1 ranked higher than video 2??? I'm very appreciated if anyone share idea.

i think maybe he's doing a 301 redirect and backlink not showing on ahrefs yet because it's a newly upload video.

I wouldn't be too concerned with this at the moment. YouTube is making MANY MANY new changes and completely restructuring the way the website works. If the problems persist, try to ask again. Right now I don't think anyone can answer your question unless they actually work at YouTube and know for sure. Even then, I'm sure they're all confused about what they're doing too.

Just wait a while...probably temporary.
