Hello,
the site has quality unique content, quality link building (only few quality guest post and things like that) and it was 4# position on google for the homepage (main traffic key).

One month ago the site dropped on 8th page of google and now the homepage has been outranked by an internal page of the site.

On Google Webmaster Tool no alert, no manual action. I tried to change text on homepage, title and analyze all link. Nothing strange.

Just one thing.. the site had some server problem (slow and offline for more days) and we changed hosting.

Any suggestion?

Thanks.

It could have a lot to do with your server problems. Leave it a week or so and see if rankings come back. It could also be a little G dance. Do not start changing site or adding links until you find out where you are. Plus make sure your homepage is still indexed site:www.website...

The home is indexed, the server problem have been solved 1 month ago..

Build a new site with a similar structure and 301 each page manually. Wait a couple of weeks, and see what happens. If it still doesn't work, rebuild.

This is probably Google dance.
Wait a couple of weeks.

You interrupted the dance with the server move. Add some content and quality links now.

Are your homepage and the ranking internal page targeting the same main keywords? May be they have started finding the internal page to be more relevant.

It's an EMD domain with just 2 keywords domain name. Also it's not a low cost or easy link building, I can't just start again. The domain was stable for months.. it can't be google dance..

I think it was because your server was offline for days, just wait and time will put the things on its site again.

I have the same problem, but until the internal pages have traffic, do not bother too much.

do some more quality links and it will be up.. speed is a factor for ranking a site..

I noticed 2 points, The one is you changed hosting server, And at the same time your competitive sites had made some good links and took your place or it may be a google dance too.

I had similar issue for one of my site. I realized it was a DNS issue for some IPs ie Google was not able to see the site.
Chk cache for your home page. Is it a fresh one or more than 1 month old? What is your site speed ?

i also changed server last week and lost rankings. no clue on this. why this happens? only used blog posts from private network.

i had this happen to a site of mine, i did a complete redesign and i dropped from the rankings and had an inner page show up on page#1 instead of the main site. two weeks later it was back to normal. its probably the google dance

Cache is updated.

Also internal pages are not ranking good. This maybe because the homepage had most of power that were flowed to internal pages.

From 06 of march to 12 of march the site had big problems like a load time of 8 second and also many downtimes.

Poor speed and downtime will increase the bounce rate of your site which lead to decrements in your ranking.. But, am not pretty sure this is the only reason. Wait for a while and check your ranking after some times.
