Strange? or just me being a newbie?

Right,
This may be normal, but i dont think it is
if you look at my backlinks on yahoo site explorer

currently at 252, however this will change like every second, i will refresh it and it will go down to 150 then up again!? And the thing is.. the backlinks i have no clue how they are getting there!? almost all of them are from onemansblog ? i dont even know what blog that is and i certainly have never put my link on there, however im getting LOADS of backlinks from them and its getting bigger everyday!?
Is this a good thing ?

One last thing, if i google my website i can see where ive posted my links, one is on a .edu guestbook. and it comes up on google with my link so does that not mean its indexed? but its not showing on backlink checkers.

maybe all of that is just normal and im a complete idiot..


Can someone tell me whats going on?

Mo backlinks da betta! Work on building more backlinks instead of checking your sites backlink profile every 10 minutes. Also relevant backlinks with your desire keywords as anchor text are great

yehh i know the more the better but the thing is, most of them are coming from the same blog called onemansblog.. And i've never ever seen or posted on it before in my life so i dont understand how that works!?

ive got almost 300 coming from that blog

I don't understand you. Why don't you google onemansblog? I just did. Is your BL the using one of those TLD's? Next, view the pages where the links are and you'll learn a lot. This seems painfully obvious, so I think I'm missing something because I think you're smart enough to do what I've written.

Have you sent articles into syndication? It could be coming from your content.

Ofcourse i've done that.
i've gone to where my links supposedly are but theres none on there

I agree with this. When G's bot visits the linking site and it's showing a feed with one of your pages, then it'll show as a bl. Then, the next minute/hour/day when the feed content is updated, the reference to your page is gone.
