For one of my sites, I submitted an article on another site. The link on the other site is indexed. However, the backlink does not show up on ahrefs or Google Search Console.

I have since submitted another article. Once again, it gets indexed but does not show up on ahrefs or GSC.

1) Any idea what is going on?

2) Link is definitely d0f0ll0w. Even if it is n0f0ll0w shouldn't it still appear in ahrefs / CSC?

3) Or could there be a script on the website that blocks robots from crawling the links? Pretty much like how in the old version of Google Webmaster Tools you can choose to crawl (1) only the page only or (2) the page + all other links on the page itself.

Thanks.

After indexing the link it always show into the search console but it looks like your site's indexing process need to improve. And if I am talking about the ahrefs, this tools always appears the live backlinks that already can see into the SERP.

Not sure if I was clear in my original post but just to clarify.

Site A: Guest post site with my backlink
Site B: backlink (ie my site)

Site A appears on Google
Site B does not appear on ahrefs

Thanks

You need a little time for it to appear in G or any 3rd party sites.

You really shouldn't care about this. Most of the links don't show up on GSC, and Ahrefs is a third-party metrics so you shouldn't worry for it at all.

So how would I know accurately whether it passes link juice or not? As long as the guest post page is indexable and is d0f0llow then it is all good?

Yeah, if it's indexable it will pass link juice, depending on other factors like Outbound links and the power of that page where the link is located.

Being listed on Ahrefs doesn't mean jackshit. GSC is slow on picking up the backlinks, especially the newer version.
