Strange engagement rate

Hey guys, I am still new to IG game so sorry, if i am asking something stupid.
I was researching my competition and i just found an account which has 108% engagement rate, is that even possible? I have never seen this much before, does that mean he boughts his likes/comments?

Yea, i just wanted to know if it's possible to have more than 100% engagement rate without buying likes and comments, i'll look further to use this profile as source so i just wanted to be sure that his engagement isn't faked.
 
It is very unlikely that this could be. How did you analyze the Er? There are several varieties of Er. You can use the Popsters analytics tool to calculate these metrics properly. And also you can see the most popular publications in any account, as well as sort by Er metric. This way you will find out or the Er is not faked.

It's completely possible to have a 108% engagement rate that's all legit. I currently own a meme account with 35.6k followers and a 34% engagement rate, I decided to make a second account where I post more edgier content and it has a 332% engagement rate. To make it this high I constantly put CTA's in my main accounts (35.6k account) description. All I put was "follow my shitpost @..." and the engagement kept coming in. Maybe the competitor is doing something similar where they are constantly advertising themselves.

RIP to my second account btw, one of my videos got taken down and now IG won't allow me to post, no warning or anything :(

I used a popular site to do that, it should be leggit I am not very sure, if i can mention the name here. I'll recheck now, thanks for the info!
