Strange case of disappearing post

One of the Mods will have removed it due to it possibly being on the Do Not Share list.
I'm sure Zwielicht or whoever did this will enlighten you about it.

The "Do Not Share list"!? What's that?

He just linked to some software he was using and some account providers.
The only thing shared was the method.
Why would a mod do that without even leaving an explanation?

It wasn't me this time, but it says the reason for removal was "Using bit.ly links instead of regular links".

That's a list of downloadable items you can't share on the forum, but it's not applicable to that thread.

The creator of the thread can contact the moderator who removed it and ask him if he can can repost it without the links. I had something like that happen to me when I was new here, and the moderator let me repost the content.

It's not my post.
Couldn't he have just removed the links in question, instead of deleting the entire, very good post?

I didn't see what the thread was mate, it had gone, so I guess it was a download section.

Mods don't have time to leave explanations for their actions, nor are they required to do so.

I was reading a very interesting post:
https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/full-disclosure-how-to-grow-20-000-followers-monthly-on-ig.959990/

The page refreshed and it just vanished. Now all I got is effin' Yoda.
How can a post disappear like that?
It's sad because it was one of the few actually informative posts.
If it was deleted, what was the reason?
Maybe it seemed promotional, plus what Zwielicht said.

But Yoda can't outsmart Google cache. :)
