Bad english but good information. The time has come for me to share at any price

Strange case

Three month ago, I put a new website in first place for three medium kw with white/grey hat method and my semantics knowledge. Then the customer disappeared and has never paid the balance outstanding . As the The Pied Piper of Hamlyn, I erased all the links and... surprise ! 3 month later the site has always his positions (wasn't a real surprise to me, but I did this furious) - but the real surprise was the site is now almost in the first place, and in the second one too, the 3th...and the 4th for one of the kws ! Actually the site has no backlinks other than yt. I think it's something here. I will continue to keep the situation under review and return latter to comment.

I would love to understand the reasons. What do you think ?
