[story] ***Spammer Fail

Time for a funny story.

I receive an email from a persone I have never herd of or had prior contact with that person. The person gives me a phony message saying I am lucky and please check out his video.

I notice there are two links:
1. The Video
2. The signup link

So after a brief chuckle, I decide, hellz, why not! I open the video, and it is some guy in a rocking chair trying to convince me to signup at a site (using his refferal link)

When I get back to the email, I see his name and HIS PHONE NUMBER!

I decide to call mister X and be friendly, ask him if he sent me the email and all that. To which I start telling him that he is perhaps not the smartest tool in the shed to spam people and give his phone number.

He gets very defensive and says it is not spam, he is not hiding behind anything and being honest about who he is.

To which I reply "Mister "X" , unsolicited emails asking me to sign up is spam. I never received an email from you in my entire life, nor have I even herd of you before (this guy is like 50-60). This is to advise you I will be reporting all your activities, and you best FUCKING STOP CAUSE I HAVE YOUR FUCKING PHONE NUMBER SO DON'T FUCKING START WITH ME.

He then got REAL quiet.

Well that is just a warning before I take it a step further...He obviously has no clue what he is doing so that should set him straight.

Poor guy is probably just trying to keep himself off social security.

But great job! You saved so much of your time calling him up and berating him for trying to make a buck. Good thing you didn't take the long route and just delete the email and forget about it 5 minutes later.

FULL NAME AND PHONE NUMBER. Not the smartest thing ever...

Haha, what I find funny is these guys not getting that it's a FUCKING PRANK CALL - come on.

Some people should learn to be less uptight and see the IRONY in all this. I forgot we had to be serious all the time guys...gosh. (although in my late 20s, perhaps I should "grow up" a little hahaha)

Dude you know his name and number, would be real easy to find this guy, you should get a chainsaw and go medieval on this spamming prick, then he'll get REAL quiet... :1:

FFS, give the guy a break.

I just let my grand father know that it was you that called and threatened him. He said when he gets out of the hospital (after the heart attack he had) he's gonna spam the hell out of you.

So how d the conversation end? Did you hang up on him?

If I were you, I'd just delete or mark it as spam.
