I have an Amazon affiliate website that has been up for about 4-5 months now and is making consistent money. Its currently ranked #1 for a 4-5k local monthly search keyword and #7-8 for a 7k search term.

The site is set up as a storefront theme with a bunch of different product listings, but is really targeted towards a single product. Would switching to a sales page theme improve conversions? I'm getting a lot of traffic and my Amazon conversion rate is decent (11% buy rate on clickthroughs)

I'm also worried that if I switch to a sales page theme I'll lose my #1 ranking, which has put me on track to do about $300 in profit this month.

unless you really know what you are doing SEO wise, it is a very bad idea to change your ranked page. Why not just split testing what you have right now and make tweaks progressively?

you are making money right now, build on that, don't destroy your base you have worked on for months now.

Definitely if you change your site, it will affect its SEO.

Rank more keywords and optimize/split test I would suggest!
