Hi all, some of you may remember a few months back there was a post advertising a free service where you sign up to promote your URL to their database.

I thought - hey what the heck what do I have to lose and inserted my email and URL I wanted to promote.

Horror of horrors, then came the daily spam from MY own email daily. I mostly see my own URL being promoted and sometimes I see other (presumably) "subscribers".

I really hate to be accused of spamming (hopefully its an optin service) so I took great pains to change my email password but the emails keep coming.

THE PROBLEM is that I can't remember the website I signed up and my history doesn't show either.

Can any of you kind souls remember this particular thread and how to nick this problem?

Thanks y'all!!! :)

Their probably just using PHP mail with your address, not actually sending from your email server. Finding them won't matter.

Don't give real info to anyone but Google and your domain registrar.

Yup its a 20:20 hindsight thing unfortunately. When I inserted my email I assumed it was for account activation. Little did I expect they would spoof my email. The spam has no unsubscribe which is what worries me.

I can't change my email easily as its in every damn thing I am operating on.

Any help and advice will be truly appreciated! :)

damn that sucks, once in awhile i have someone spoofing my email but not very often, luckily i dont get any bounces sent to it
