I believe my forum is being spammed by a xrumer bot or something like that, day after day i see topics created spamming all kinds of crap, have set it to stay hidden from members but its a little time wasting to keep having to disaprove the topics it creates, is there anyway to stop it completely?

Dont make the users able to post for 1 week. Disprove topics, approve members, ban IPs, put some other captchas up if available.

Put a captcha on the thread/reply posting page after passing X amount of posts on a day.
