What niche was your site in? Was probably a competitor reporting your site.

What do you mean? OP posted all the source code you need, it is pretty basic aswel so you can easily figure out what the code does.

I doubt the rank improvement. But I do believe sale/offer conversions can go up if you do it right.
 
Is there a way to do this trick with "Facebook's in built browser" ? :)

When I open a link from facebook on my Iphone this trick does not work. And it sucks... :) 80%+ mobile traffic on my website. Thanks !

Or maybe there is a chance to force them open the web in Safari?
