It's time to stop those annoying phone calls. Even though you're on the "Do Not Call" list, you're still getting them.

Go here...

hxxp://wol*fram.org/wri*ting/howto/pho*ne.html

Scroll about 2/3 of the way down and download the WAV file shown.

Then, re-record your outgoing greeting to callers with THIS sound at the very beginning of it.

Automated dialers will hear the tone and think your number has been disconnected.

It basically does the same thing at the Tele*Zapper but, hey...this is free.

Very nice trick there. I've been getting a lot more marketing calls lately than I ever have before. I must have been put on some kind of list. They're getting good with the fast hang-ups as soon as you begin to say, "If you call again ..."

Wol*fram's blog is interesting too. Definitely bookmarking it.

I?ve been successful getting the message across, ?well how much if you call my house again I?ll cut your face in three?, me hangs up.

Usually when the telemarketer is about 10 words into their pitch I simply interrupt and say...

"oh... can you hold on one sec?"

They always say "sure". Then I set the phone down and come back 15 minutes later to put the phone back into its cradle. Works like a charm everytime.
