Another vote for photodune (I'm an author there, lulz)
I find some nice stuff when doing mockups at:
Morgue File
It is a public image archive, they are "mostly" (seems to me about 95%) free, once in a while I run into an artist that wants a link back, I just go find a different photo.

Free things are not good. If you spend some money then you will get some quality product. So forget to get anything for free.
