hey there bhw, so yeah i can tell you a long story about how i'm new-ish to SEO and dont have any tools purchased yet for SEO, but i'm more of a down to the point type of guy.

So is it still worth it to get Scrapebox with the new panda updates and algo changes of big G?

thanks

Yes, I would say it is still worth buying Scrapebox, because even though big G is updating, but Scrapebox is 1 time purchasing. It could do many things. You can harvest URLs, check live links, commenting for indexing also.

Yes, scrapebox is not only a comment spammer. It has many features that helps you do everyday SEO tasks. And works well with other SEO tools. The harvester is enough to buy it for me.

Absolutely Yes...i bought it before 2 weeks and i find every day new things to do with it.Today i used it as image scrapper for my tumblr page:)

Yes, it worth it except for blasting backlinks now. Don't do that anymore. Everything else is useful...

I can't tell how many times this has been asked anymore...Scrapebox will always have a use because its effectiveness is just limited by what you can think of. Whatever you can do manually with Google you can do with Scrapebox, it is much more than a comment spammer.

You can use it to build email lists, find directories for AMR, find Pligg and pretty much any other kind of website...the uses are almost limitless.

If you have to ask then keep away from SB. It sounds like your focused on generated more crappy spammy comments and that won't curry you any favors with Google.

thanks guys, i decided to buy it :) seems great so far

I rarely use Scrapebox as blogposter.. but I use Scrapebox every day.. it has tons of nice features that are very useful.

If you are still unable to learn that using such Link Building Tools are Suicidal then go be an a*8*ole but if you want to play online games on it like everybody else in earlier replies is doing then go on.

Good Luck.

Scrapebox has lots of functionalities and i will like to believe spamming is one of the least thing it was made for.

I love the tool and use it very much. Below are some of its functionalities you will probably like:

Scraping sites/blogs

Checking for malware

Rapid Indexer

Dup checker

Checking if my proxies are ok because i occasionally sell proxies too.

Check for do follow and no follow

Find out mass PR of sites and so on.

I don't use this tool for mass commenting but find a few high class do follow blogs (PR 3 and above) and then leave my comment manually. I see more value using the tool this way.

You have to shine your eyes and put on your spectacles, its the greatest IM tool i have seen in history.

I'm guessing you never took the time to learn how to use it

Scrapebox has plenty of uses other then comment spam. It's like a swiss army knife if you know how to use it properly.

Google harvesting
Checking PR
Google keyword suggestion tool
Are these TOP 3 tools if you do even White Hat stuff, so go and buy it, you won't regret it

do you guys think it could still be used for backlinks, not in the sense as it was with massive blasts of 200k backlinks, but as in controlled mini bursts, few hundred to 1000 comments of high quality and related to posts? i'm doing this now on a aged domain to see how it goes.

in my mind Google cant possibly punish you for related posts/comments can they?

Yes. It does a lot. I use it for building lists that I use in White Hat work.

Is it still safe to use SB blasts on web 2.0 pages, youtube videos, etc? In other words, is blasting your tier 1 sites still okay (because you're not blasting your moneysite directly), or is it a bad idea?

Yes it's worth buying, its the first tool I bought when I started out in SEO and still use it everyday. Same can't be said for many other SEO tools.
