I bought a domain in October 2010 and it was just 1 and half week back i launched the site coz i had to design it myself. The competition of the keyword is average. There are competitors who are targeting the exact keyword and are in the 2nd page. These guys have less than 75 backlinks and have bought there domain this year (February and January) and are in 2nd page with very bad onpage SEO.

Now my site has around 75 backlinks but yet not in the SERPS. I searched through all the SERPS (~900 listings) and i can't find my site. :(

Should i give some time? If so how long should i wait?

P.S. All my pages are indexed and when i type in my URL it shows at the top of the SERPS.

Yeh you have to wait a bit, as it still is technically a new site, even though the domain is older. Just give it time and in the mean time just build some quality backlinks and you are sure to stay above your competitors once Google pulls their finger out!

Websites do index withing days, maybe even hours, but it depends on the niche! It may not be a competitive niche in terms of volume, but your competitor sites may be backlinked up to the max, so it will take a little longer for you to rank! Dont worry, if you continue to feed it with unique content (must be unique) and build links gradually, then you will get there, do not worry!

Yes, think i will give it another 2 weeks and see how it turns up. I am making around 30 links per day and i hope it is not too much for the new site.

Sometimes that may worry me just because well, 75 links should get you somewhere. Maybe your backlinks are poor quality, maybe your anchor text is non-existent, or maybe it's just something that will take a bit more time.

I haven't launched anything new since the Google update.

I should note that if you just keep building quality backlinks it's going to show up, eventually. So just keep at it and don't worry about the results at this point.

All my backlinks are profile links with PR 5 above. All links are well anchored and all backlinking pages are linkwheel designed to 3 profile backlink pages. I make these profile links in about me and bio section with unique contents using PAR. I ping them 3 times a week plus i create a feed for all backlinks i create per day and then submit to RSS aggregators.

I think i should give some time, may be a week or a couple.

Ashique, keep link building on daily basis if you need some good SERP.

My advise is not to pind you profile backlinks too much, instead of this make some backlinks to your profile links with blog comments and dont ping or index these blog comments.

Let the search engine find it out naturally, it will act like a drip feed linking. Also make backlinks from web 2.0 properties, article directories and blast these backlinks too with blog comments. You will get your results within 2 - 3 weeks.

Keep in mind that in order to retain or gain your SERP, you have to work on regular basis atleast for next 3 - 6 months until your site get an authority and it stay on top page.

    Hope it works :)

I always submit my new sites to digg/del.icio.us/reddit and to 50 directories (only 50 cause it is always a brand new site) here and every single time I get indexed in less than 24 hours. :) I hope it will help, good luck with your site.

P.S don`t waste your time searching for your site in 900 results, just google like this without quotes "site:yourdomain.com".
