Still No Sign of Google PR Update?

Hi Guys,

Google doesn't updated Page Rank till Feb 2013, Any ideas why??

It seems google no longer report PR updates, so it will eventually kill networks with High PR Domains...

No updates till Feb 2013!? We're going to be waiting an eternity :bebored:

Edit: Next PR update is expected sometime this month, you probably could have found this information yourself with a 10 second Google search!

I don't think there will be another PR Update. Google will only use PR for internl purposes.
The public Pagerank is only used for SEO so why still make this public? There will be less link selling without a public PR.

Also Google Chrome doesnt show PR and there is no toolbar for it.
 
Mate this has happened before... the update will come. People were crying that PR was dead for hte same reason two years ago and it was still updated. Heck Ive remembered it was almost a year before a full PR update.

Even if they did kill it that doesnt kill high PR networks, people will use other data points ot come up with value on links.
 
There's other crucial data other than PR to overview when looking for quality domains, I wouldn't be worried even IF they were to stop PR updates.
 
I think the next PR update is going to be happened in September last or in early October.

I heard on a Facebook group some people said their new websites page rank increased last month. I'm not sure this is just a rumour or a reality.
 
They at least rolled out a new algo update today .. :(
My entire blog (resides in sub directory) has been deranked :( Most posts wont even show in SERP even with exact title match while they are still indexed. Strange thing is my old (static html) site that resides in the root still has very good presence in SERP for important keywords.. I hope this is just some kind of temporary glitch or something ..

Sorry to hear that mate, but i agree with you, i've seen a big jump for one of my sites today. Not bragging or anything, i know all too well what it's like to have sites bombed by g00gle but i think you might be right with the update.. my guess is it might have been a penguin refresh.
 
It has now been over 7 months since the last oogle PageRank was update. The last update was in early 4th February, where users spotted some changes in Google Toolbar PageRank.

Since then, I have not seen a major Toolbar PageRank update from Google. And there is no sign of Page Rank Update.

I still don't get why people give so much valeu to toolbar PR, because unless your selling links/domains it is really pointless imho
 
Is PageRank dead? Is it still relevant? Are they working on some more serious guidelines for PageRank? Maybe!

Feb 2013 was 7 months ago. Second of all, WTF are you talking about? They're going to kill PR networks just b/c they haven't updated??!! That's retarded. If anything they realized they were making their algorithm too transparent and have made webmasters work a little harder. That's why SEOs are paying attention to PA/DA/CF/TF/MozRank now.
 
^ Right on the money. Fortunately we still have PA/DA etc. Even if pagerank phases out, these other ranking resources will just become more popular.
 
Traffic and monetising that traffic are the only metrics I go off.
 
How many times does it need to be said? PR is updated every day. Every second of the day. The toolbar PR is a historical number that means nothing except if you want to sell links to noobs who think toolbar PR numbers mean something.

Every second the algorithm evaluates PR.

Google is too busy waiting for everyone to remove their links from their backlinks profile.

Then they'll put everything exactly back to the way it was before they scared everyone into removing their own links..
