Still trying to put this together and figure it out. So I got my site made, I plan to get articles done, make sure they mostly pass in yoast, targeting the right keywords, then I will start working on building links. am I doing it right? I hate asking for stuff because I want to make it clear because I dont want to be spoonfed. If im missing something I would like to know thank you.

after this. i also plan to drive traffic by social media and forums

Yes , that's the principle , you're only missing the small steps .

On page optimization is easy but when it comes to link building you have so many options in doing it and you have to test what works better for you . The idea is to make it look naturally , create only quality contextual backlinks with original content . If you want to build your first authority website the success will come in months maybe years , just keep learning and find your own way. The best way is to build your own PBN ( public blogs network ) but again you have to learn a lot until you know to do it properly .

The best advice I can give is to read some journals about authority websites and I guarantee you'll gain a lot of quality information .

That is the basics yes.

For clean SEO - good content - good links and maybe some promotion.
The devil is in the detail though. Yoast isn't bad - but the main page it presents that most users try and get a "green light" on is just that - the basics.
That said it's a lot more than most people do.

Do exactly what you outline above - let us know what decisions you make on social promotion, maybe what your link method is.

Good luck!
