I read somewhere that it was to do with the argument which he had with his producer.
Who cares? Using a tank as a form of publicity, well great how they are making a big deal about terrorist threats and then some nonsense bs reason just flies by. Should it have been racist then even better he lost his job, if it was for punching well tough shit I guess for him wonder if anybody else would get away with it.
Agreed. He should have checked his privilege before making those remarks.

He hummed that part of the tune, they did three takes of it and on one of the takes it sounded like he said that. He was the one who caught it, called up the production team and had it removed out of the actual tape to air. It got leaked as things do and afterwards he gave a genuine apology describing the events (basically everything I just said).
It sucks that it sounded like that and really that rhyme shouldn't have even been in the take in the first place but at the end of the day it was a mistake that was caught and it's been blown out of proportion much like the current ordeal.

Well I've been living under a rock, had no clue this was happening and this is one of my favorite TV shows. They can't sack Clarkson, it wouldn't be the same show. It's that chemistry between him, Hammond and May that make the show entertaining to watch. The show will never recover and lose ratings if the BBC doesn't reinstate him.
