[Step By Step] How to make recurring 2k+ a month

These kind of businesses are all fine and dandy in theory, but in reality you WILL be dealing with the business owner/his relatives about every little detail concerning their website and Facebook page. Even if you offer them for free.

You will be churning out your time and your nerves like there's no tomorrow. If you don't do as told, the project moves to the said relative. You can of course write a contract, but good luck getting small business owners to sign. For the most part, they are not as clueless about the internet as many here tend to think.

This is not to be negative, but to warn newbies that the reality usually is a bit different out there on the field than in online forums.

I did not read the whole thread, so if this is mentioned previously I'm sorry.

A great twist on this is to get the sale of the hosting/domain/wp-template/whatever done via your affiliate account. You make a cool $100+ right there if you do it right.
 
I am going to do this later this week, I have a great understanding of WP but I will have to look for people that could help out with SEO.

This is the famous "can of worms" to open.
I have seen it several times; there always comes trouble.

Different ways 2 go - you offer
- limited service; any change will cost extra (..how do you justify 49$/month on the long run? ..customers talk, read & learn, then they cancel..)
- full service, incl SEO with some upsell packages (..then you have a fulltime job soon, if you like this sort of work)

For a quick buck, it wont last long and leaves burned fields.
For long term customers, yes.
 
This idea sounds like its worth a shot. I am going to take a drive around my area later today take down some business names. After reading all the user posts on this thread it seems picky clients may seem to be a problem so I hope taking a look at these places first will help me in choosing the right clients. Knowing that this method is a hit or miss I am planning to find as many local businesses I can. Once I do so I will post how many businesses I have made contact with and how many accepted the offer(...if any that is)
 
Yes, 30 minutes is the correct time to setup a wp site, custom theme, plugins (all in seo configuration, contact form, etc).
 
This idea has been going for years....but its nice to know what is still or is not still working for people so thanks for the post :D
 
I will give this method a try. I feel like this could work here at my area.

That is laughable...you don't know how to setup a Wordpress site then....for example...what do you do about the following?

- Security
- SEO plugin
- blog automation
- Onpage SEO
- Sitemap, Legal, Privacy statements

Custom logo design is also included? I am not saying I don't like the method....just that the time required is way off if you plan on doing a good job for these companies.
 
Any recommendations for recurring payments? Don't want to code everything myself as it takes way too much time for the money - WC offers a solution for $199 which is expensive. Cart66 looks nice and smooth to setup some extra options like new weekly content or some extra backlinks. Any other solutions?
