[Step By Step] How to make recurring 2k+ a month

Thanks for the reply. I'm also from Europe (Belgium) so hopefully it's the same for me :)
I'm still wondering how you contact those doctors? By mail? Or do you make an appointment to meet them?
Also, what services do you offer them? SEO too? Because I don't have the tools (backlink blacksters) to do that... I am a last year Master of Computer Science student so it probably shouldn't be too hard to get their confidence.
Also, I'm still wondering how you close a contract :)

they are my customers. im administrating their networks, vpns, servers as a freelancer.
not only doctors, other small businesses as well :)
no SEO atm. only hardare, servers, networks, software, etc.
thats what i do for them as my customers.
its a good job. but sometimes you gotta have the mind of napoleon to get some tricky things done for the same money.
so thats why im here at BHW to take a jump to SEO & other less stressfull income sources ;)

part2:

register a small web design company, get a nice website set up, few business cards, list some services on website.
and use that as a cover to make an appointment :)
start small then offer them new services now and then. treat em as your long term customers. such relationships last long but take some time to create. be patient :)

This really is a good method if you keep it simple and dedicate enough time to it. Like the person above me said, make a base site for your company name, business cards, etc. and most importantly, offer packages. Start with a 49 package with minimum options and offer up to $150 or whatever. The point is to keep them locked in with your company. If business isnt going so well for them and they can no longer afford a $150/month package, they can always fall back on your $50/month package. Just be sure to have deciding factors for each offer.

Try and know the business youre going to sell to. It will really help you in the long run.

Thanks a lot for this Wiz and I appreciate all of your help, man.

Hey Wiz any chance you could throw us a link to a couple of the themes you were using?

I have thought about jumping in on the offline methodz. I have a few other monthly services alongside this that would be a great addition.

Just really wondering what some of the themes I should throw out look like.

Thanks,
GlobalP

From my understanding of the OP this is exactly what alot of professional web designers do. They get paid a recurring, monthly fee for maintaining a client's website but they get a whole lot more than a mere $50.

I cannot stand these comments explaining why this wont work and blah blah, and not only will they not attempt it, most of them probably have no experience in the nature of this method.

If you tried it, truly tried this method, and it didn't work for you, then fine you can say that. Otherwise your comment has completely no merit whatsoever.

Thanks!

I am thinking of potential local businesses here in our area.

Great post!

Thanks, Im going to try to lure some local businesses into this. Solid idea.

I wanted to start with this and went to some shops her and there which 2 of them insisted me for a bussniss number and some tax informations.

Are you guys registrating this project as a official bussnis in eyes of the governement to get a tax number and so pay taxes legaly on this?

Hmm your post open my mind to get some new ideas , great works :)
Thanks 4 sharing !

Thank you for your post. This is a great idea, the only thing I'm censored about is 50 picky customers giving me hard time.

I think this is a great thing to implement. I'm thinking of doing it as well and blasting out ads on Facebook and even newspapers. Scan a QR code or something. There are still so many people/business who do not have a proper web presence - always will be opportunity to those who take action :)

It's a great way to reel in new customers, then be sure to upsell other services like SEO and/or Online Reputation Management. It's all icing on the cake.

not sure how much "new info" this is providing, I enjoyed reading it.

cheers

Awesome idea. I'm looking for some business ideas atm and this one sounds solid. I was considering dabbling in some blackhat related work for my biz, but your idea sounds much safer.

Cheers for this!

This method is really a numbers game. You can make money if your local area is big enough and you have a good automated system set up, but basic website set-up is a bit outdated. Be prepared to deal with clueless business owners (who will probably be out of business in a year or two) and gatekeepers (i.e., 18 year-old admins).

My spin is to target small businesses who have purchased a $29 template from a 'web design' business for $400 and are inevitably unhappy with results (since sales are the lifeblood of any small business, not a cheesy website). I then show them how I can generate more leads for less. So in a way I'm letting the shitty web template package resellers generate the demand for me.

Thanks for this info could actually go well with my sub domain idea if I offer it as a bonus it will help me sell way more if theyre getting their add on my TLDs.
