Stealth Account - Newbie

So, I need to open a new stealth account for Ebay & Amazon. I am newbie in terms of technical.

So I am getting a brand new laptop to manage ONLY for this new account. I have two options:

1> Add a new Tmobile number for $10 and use hotspot. With this method I will not be able to use my laptop to do other things as I will not be able to connect it to home wifi? right?

2> OR use my home wifi and use VPN services?

What is the best fool proof method. Ebay I do not care, but am serious about amazon.
