"Stealing" original content

Hello guys,

Sorry if this is in the wrong section or if you think that my idea is not ethical but it's a black hat forum after all.

I was checking a quality website today in my niche and I realized that this website adds a lot of unique articles daily but the website is indexed very hard. I checked articles that were posted 3-4 days ago and they are still not indexed (site:websitedotcom/article-2).

So I was thinking if I take those articles and post them on my website and ping them until they will be indexed (before being indexed on the other website), will this method make the articles basically mine? What do you think about this method?

They will be yours but sooner or later the ORIGINAL content writer will report you and BOOM you come here asking why your site got deindexed
 
KeyMouse, I will post the content on blogs anyway. How can anybody prove that the article we are talking about is not mine if it's first indexed by Google as mine?

SkyrocketSEO - why do you ask? Does it make any difference?

The date the original was posted will be pretty darn good proof, or any access logs they decide to give Google when they report.

That being said, why not just spin it? Too much work, yeah?
 
No google crawls the content but indexes it later. There is a lag between crawling and indexing based on many factors. This means google has crawled the content but its not worthy to index immediately(based on the quality of the website)
 
LakeForest, I don't think they can give any proof to Google or anybody because it's absurd.

And let's not forget that I can post an article with a past date :)

Are you sure about this? Can anybody else confirm?

PS: Can you check somewhere when was a website last time crawled? If you type cache:websitedotcom in google, is there in any way related to this?
 
Have you considered the copyright implications?

If the company you are scraping from has a staff of writers or are outsourcing the articles, they can easily be proven that it is their original content.

And if you are doing this often from the same site, you may find yourself being absolutely battered with lawsuits.

Personally, I believe you may be walking on very thin ice with this strategy, but to each his own.

Still waiting for others to confirm or not what ritesh said.
 
Yes what ritesh said is true. When I post a new article on my site, the bots are
there in seconds. But the article never gets indexed right away, sometimes it
takes a few days.
 
Why don't you try doing something more legitimate or at least get a spinner? This sounds like building a house in a tropical climate on a foundation of ice.
 
Guys, I'm using TBS and lots of writers in my business I was just wondering if my idea is good or not. It's not like I was going to use this "method" to make millions.

I will use spinner and build web 2.0 site using those articles...
 
Unless you really don't care about the site you're thinking of using that stolen content on, you probably shouldn't risk it. Just because content has not yet been indexed in Google doesn't mean the bots haven't been alerted to it. If everything hits the fan, then you might not be found out initially, but with a bit of digging I'm sure they can trace the original publisher - even if they have to cross-reference other search engines. DMCA is nothing to play with.
 
This method has been thought off long before the age of the titans. Move on, this method doesn't work.

It is never a good idea to steal an original content. Why don't you hire writers or use article spinner to do the job, or write your own original content to avoid trouble?
 
Not worth it at all. They are not yours to do this to, and it is not right. Do not steal someone else's stuff, you will get caught.
 
That is not right at all. Spin the article if you must use it but do not steal someone's hard work. It is a bad idea, sooner or later you will end up getting caught.
