STEALING Info Products + Re-Selling Method !

Hey guys, I want to make money in the Info Product niche but I don't have the LIST to sell to OR the Info Product experience yet.

What do you think of the following cloning strategy?

1) Select Successful $200-$1K Info Product

2) Copy Info Product's Course Content + Marketing Content + Sales Funnel

3) Tweak The Content + Add My Own Brand

4) Market The Newly Cloned Course via Influencer/Affiliate Marketing (To Their Existing Lists)

5) Profit + Build My List At Same Time For Future Additional Info Products That I Clone/Tweak

What are your thoughts on this Blackhat method for Info Products?

You are stealing and passing it on as yours.

Possible, if it is info that is available everywhere, and you are compacting it into a course, you just need to change it heavily - I would still get a lawyer and a legal expenses insurance

Its not illegal if it's tweaked as I mentioned in step 3 and added my own brand/twist.

You really think lots of Infopreneurs didn't steal from others and tweak it?

Check out Russel Brunson and ClickFunnel's massive concept of Funnel Hacking which is essentially copying the entire biz model + then TWEAKING it to make it different.

Let me know how it's illegal if it's tweaked and funnel hacked.

I understand, but if I change it heavily as you suggest (which is a good plan of paraphrasing etc).. then surely its legal as it's not a blatant copyright rip off?

The brand + course content + everything is tweaked and paraphrased.

It's like Pepsi copying Coke, but then tweaking it entirely via brand + wording + recipe + etc. Same thing for many other "me too" competitors of major companies. Only difference is it's info products.

I appreciate your open minded thoughts.

You could still get legal problems, especially in the US and EU, because both have quite strict laws, but with quite some room for interpretation
But it should be legal, if heavily tweaked - no legal advice

I will research further on that part. I may be wrong but I feel it's legal if the course content is changed alot.

This is illegal.

What you can do, like a lot of minor Instagram/Youtube Gurus are doing, is to re-make the course yourself (with you making the videos etc.) and talk about the same topics in the same order, changing the way the all speech is structured.

Target the dumbest newbies you can find online and sell them the course

Makes sense to target the younger demographic that wants to make money online (Eg. the 18-25 niche).

Okay, when you say "re-make the course with me making the content/videos and changing the speech/content" so you're basically saying to paraphrase/tweak it all correct?

I'm sorry if I didn't explain properly, but I didn't mean I was literally ripping off the entire content word-for-word, I meant I was going to paraphrase the entire course (as you say changing the speech).

Your title is misleading that's the confusion. If you're using it as a base to make your own then it's ok

In most cases yes unless they have good lawyers. Did this once , not very good to be honest, and got catched before I hit my first sale

But yes you can inspire and take the raw info from it, that's how most 'gurus' know 'their shit'. But rewrite it in your complete own words, add some info and also let some info away so you don't have the exact same contents even if it's rewrited by yourself or made into a video course.

Yes, for example Ryan Deiss in his Content Marketing Mastery teaches exactly the process described in the DotCom Secrets book, exact same way, just changing the name of the processes.

The book is free+shipping, his course is 995$.

You can make decent money.

Willing to do that. Seems 100X more efficient then creating something from scratch that I'm not an expert on or not knowing if it would sell!

Looks like he pretty much re-worded everything (inc of course the name of the process). Basically re-branded Funnel Hacking into his own and paraphrased the entire thing.

Thanks for sharing your experience Mediawiz. I assume the way you did it (when you got caught) was different to how these 'gurus' are doing it? Did you copy it entirely and not paraphrase it as much? Would love to learn from your experience.

I meant the book Dotcom Secrets is free+shipping, the Content Mastery is at 995$.

And the course is not the carbon copy in video of Funnel Hacking but it's the copy of Dotcom Secrets.

So quite a good profit he's making
