I wanted to get peoples opinions on this. In order to save money and time on dropshipping, I use ad spy tools to see recent top performing FB ads and products. I steal the ads and products and put them on my general store to test. Is this method viable? Any advice is much appreciated.

I don't see why it wouldn't work. Honestly people on here do it every single day in different variations with different platforms. For example. I have seen a lot of people on here doing something similar with SEO. They will spy on competitors best performing pages and steal the keywords and content. Then try to outrank that page. Very common practise.

It would be great to make some changes in the stuff you take from spy tools ;^)

Depends. What country are you living in? What kind of products are you stealing? If you are literally stealing everything from beginning to end you might get hit with a lawsuit. I would be very careful.

Although I don't think stealing ads is a great idea, especially with unlimited resources available online to create one of your own or make changes to whatever you are stealing, it does not, unless you get reported.

I wouldn’t recommend directly copying other people’s ads. It can get tricky legally, and you don’t really learn what works for your own audience. A safer approach is to study top-performing ads for ideas—like angles, hooks, or visuals—and then create your own version. That way you save time testing while staying on the right side of things.

The method is working but it’s short term. Getting your customers to come back and buy again and again without advertising is a more sustainable long-term approach.

i think it works for testing fast but you should at least edit the video a bit. if you just copy paste fb might flag your ad account pretty quick.

it's a fast way to get banned for unoriginal content, model the strategy instead of copying the file.

it works for testing but fb will shadowban ur account if you just copy-paste the exact video.

Use Arcads or Creatify to turn product links into unique UGC videos with AI actors so you don't get banned for unoriginal content.

It would be great if you could make some changes to the things you take from the spyware tools, because you can copy the translations, which won't be sustainable in the long run.
