Stealing Competitors Web 2.0 Backlinks?

Hi,

I have used Moz to find a competitor's Web 2.0s. It's clear a GSA-like tool was used to generate the backlinks for these Web 2.0 pumpers.

Is it a viable approach to export the list of domains that points to the pumper site, put them into my own GSA, and then point them to my own pumper's?

Main thing I'm worried about is a manual penalty, but, also I'm interested in the viability of this approach which would mean not having to buy and find good verified lists.

Alot of people copy competitors links, I am sure you will be fine. Just make sure you use the web 2.0 as a buffer inbetween so you can drop it if it get's deindexed

This might be the case where the competitor could have used the web 2.0s in purpose just for you to copy and penalize your site.

Tbh I don't really think that there are sites that are ranked just because of web 2.0s
