Hey,

Now i did something stupid the other day and stole all the content and whole source code for a site including image etc and the only thing i changes were the affiliate links and centered the graphic.

Now then i held 3rd 4th and even 1st position in google for around 24 to 48 hours for these keyphrases and got a load of backlinks for the phrases too and then all of a sudden im literally no where to be seen??

So im guessing its not the google dance!

Im still indexed of course however my site isnt on any of the first 30 pages for my keyphrase's, same when i enter it in quotes.

So what do i do??

I never planned on leaving the site exactly the same for this long I about 3 days) but just got side tracked and needed to throw something up quick until i had finished my design.

Help Please i was getting over 100 visitors from the positions i had and was onto a winner too!

check if you are still in google's index than you have really no choice but to change your web page setting so that google stops giving you the dublicate content penalty.

Yes i am!

But if i just change the content then will my rankings come back or is that it?? they are lost forever on that domain??

Push more backlinks to your page. Then change, add, update, modify, etc. As needed.

I find Google is extremely bias when it comes to backlinks so that should certainly give you the edge you need.

Honestly don't see how that will help at all... of course im going to get more backlinks and edit my site but what im asking really is... is it too late now?? should i get a new domain and start again or what???

Anyone else got any thoughts??

Okay,

Ive just edited the site and now its about 50% different compared to the other one which makes it just like ive used the same template to them but nearly everything else has been re-written and changed.

So ive just pinged it and am now going to go and write some articles up and make some web 2.0 backlinks to it.

Hopefully it will come back and have top rankings again :(
