Stealing a forum

right, a forum leecher is the word!

I have actually been testing software I had developed,
although it works somewhat it can only rip the content from the threads that allow Quote Replys, as it grabs the correct content from the Quoted Data.

It also can either use & add the username that posted the thread or It will generate and add a random username.

Im also working on building a list of alternative keywords, that would sound the same in a sentance e.g.:

lurking
snooping

im
i'm
i am

site
forum
website
forums


So When grabbing the content it will then search the content for alternative words to spin the content.

There are also other factors that stop the software from working such as: plugins, or custom edits to templates & code.
vBulletin can be worked around pretty easy but others require the core of the application to be altered.

the ForumGen creates a forum from sources, not from the forum you want.

i have been looking as well. any updates? like to scapr a celeb forum and use the posts to start your own as the starting point so doesnt look empty

A very interesting idea indeed. By this point taking the content from a forum

lets just put for an example BHW here.

Ok so lets say we want to make a blog with "unique content" and subject hmm lets see, ebay? ppc? cpa? e-whoring? anything....

Well just by putting in a search "cpa" we get like more than 50 posts saying how to do the cpa -black and white- methods every techincque and etc...

Continuing,
we go to each of those posts copy the first post "after we read it" and put away every freaking junk there is leaving us with the method itself.

Step 2.
Taking our content and putting it in the spining article software, producing us a unique content of the method

Step 3. Putting this content on the blog (lets say we put 2-3 methods of this free for everyone and all the other methods we charge monthly)

Step 4. Repeat this steps for all the other posts we found through a search.

Step 5. Go figure it out

You mean - work?!

Just a quickie:

suppose we stole an entire forum today and tommorow the orginal forum has a few new post to a thread, it would be nice that the new posts would appear also in our stolen forum, just like rss to articles thingy.

Really something can be done because all big forums have a RSS feed.....

I was just thinking about starting a VB forum and something like this will definitely come in handy... I used ico content in the past, but the forum looked stupid with the yahoo answers. Hope someone to find a solution

I think there was a software. I do not know the exact name for it.

But they charged something like 9$ for it monthly.

Will get back to it once i remember the name of the software

There is a forum that rips off this forum daily for its latest posts. Seems like exactly what the guy is trying to do. Noticed it a long time ago, wonder if its still the same. Not going to promote another forum and risk a ban. I'm sure you all can understand.

From what I saw, it's just a CLONE of this website. Not a total rip-off.

If that's what you want, it's super easy. No need to hack at all or whatsoever.

But then expect to get only 3 members like the one you showed above.

Sharpleech forum leecher is one but it can leech contents of only 4-5 predefined warez forums. I don't know if somebody can crack out and add more no. of forums to it.

I was never implying that you did. I'm just saying that there is a forum by a very similar name as this forum that rips off the top threads and uses it as filler on there fake forum. Meaning no real traffic and all bogus threads stolen from here.

Seems like the guy that owns that forum is utilizing that to boost his blog's ranking.

This would be like using WP-Robot on wordpress (taking Q and A from yahoo), but instead getting threads off DP or something like that..

Let's say we do that.. what problems can we run into? (like legal issues etc..)

2.And then what will be your reputation with the real members of your forum?
