Staying ranked with low competiton

i can rank high in google SERPS with low competition, but how can i keep my articles there?backlinkinking? social bookmarking? and how much of this do i need to do if competition is very low?

im only interested in staying ranked for very low competition SERPS like below 50,000. Good method on staying number one for this low amount of competition?

please help. Im forming a method and need some assistance! will share my method if good information helps me!!

I think its based on how long it stays low competition. Its all relative to the keywords. Even if you get a #1 rank for any term its only temporary before someone boots you off. I would assume you need to monitor what the other sites are doing and react to that.

If you are #1 for allinanchor and rank and someone overtakes you, you need more backlinks. For really low competition terms it should be simple.

Have more or enough backlinks with the target keyword in anchor text and optimized on your ranking site/page as your competitors and your rank stay

ok cool so if it's like 10,000 SERPS then start out with a few backlinks and see where that puts me? Can these backlinks be on a myspace profile or something like that? thanks for the help guys this is tremendous..

Yeah something like that is fine, but I think myspace stop passing link juice since they add a redirect to any url placed on the site. As long as the site do not have nofollow or add redirects on the links, it should be fine.
