Do you ever feel like you waste a lot of time? time you could be using to make some serious $$....

Here are something important things I do to keep myself focused.

#1. I make a to-do list of things I have to get done for the day. Sometimes it's a mental to do list. For example, I'll focus on just link building for a particular project. Or I'll focus on youtube videos. The point is that i tackle 1 task at a time.

#2. I create my own 'system' for each project. This helps me replicate a project time and time again. More importantly, it helps me get a project done. Whether you are doing wh or bh projects, planning a course of attack helps you from using your time wisely. I don't know how many times I'd spend doing something, only to realize that I didn't have to do it because it wasn't necessary for the project I was doing.

#3. When I find myself drifting from website to website, wasting time on stupid sites...then I just call it a day and walk away from the computer. I remember something my psychology prof. said one time about how you tend to associates a task with a response. For example, don't do homework when your sleepy or on your bed, otherwise you'll associate homework with fatigue. So for me, if i can't get any work done online I just turn things off and walk away and come back to it when my mind is ready.

#4. I try to keep things as simple as possible and try not to backtrack. I try to keep moving forward, getting one project/site done...then move on to the next. I try not to spend more than 3-4 days on a project. Every now and then I go back and do maintenance....but for the most part I try to always move forward.

Very good tips here. Number 4 is a very important one, I did something similar with my homework and now I really do have some serious school problems. These tips will help me a lot and anyone who want's to actually be successful should use them and always stay organized.

good points. also, avoid information overload :p this was the thing that always held me back when i first started. it was like i bought a lot of ebooks but never really got the time to even read it all, leave alone implementing it.

But yeah thanks to daddy clickbank there's a 45 day money back guarantee :p

Doing one step at the time seems like an unnecessary point, but it's really one of the hardest to accomplish.

I'm also starting to do to-do-lists, and always geting back and forward.

Keeping things straight and simple should be the most important

just thought id share this one. It's a quote from national treasure. n this has kept me going day after day month after month year after year.

it's about thomas edison where he tried and failed nearly 2,000 times to develop the carbonized cotton-thread filament for the incandescent light bulb. And when asked about it he said:

"I didn't fail, I found out 2,000 ways how not to make a light bulb"

He only needed to find one way to make it work. :)

That's somewhat inspiring (:
I'll make sure to keep that in mind, always.

The human being is made of failures and success. If we did everything right at the first, what would be the fun? There would be no sense of achievement if we knew everything by default.

Just keep falling and getting up, you'll get it right eventually

tonlilaz,

This is excellent advice about work habits and focus.

cool thanks for tip! that was actually happening to me, i was wandering for 1 website to another..wasted my time

i will put this to practice

I go agree with you. in my story it comes like. i am very greedy foolish one.first i reach bhw. i see the download section first. and as a leecher i download all of them without knowing what is it used for. or check them with virus.

then i learn about to know what is "earn money on internet, Real or fake?" start reading here and learning here. how about it. and then i always check the blackhat tools and download section.

that's make me look very fool are i download script that i dunno how to use it. at last all the script i have downloaded i check and deleted it again >.<

i first was motivated when i see a blogger that is single parent and could take care of his son live and earn by blogging , then i think to myself if people can earn like that, why not me? i know more with blackhat supporting me. i think blackhat is all about easy earn money. but i was wrong all people here almost doing much enough job that i appreciated enough to earn that much for them like posting in associated content , Cpa or else.

Blackhat too need much effort to do. if u know more but can't do more then find a partner or worker for you and tell them what to do. is it blackhat and whitehat. but IMO whitehat can last long if u can go further better than blackhat. [no offense]

and if u really wanna earn money from internet u should choose which way u want. and go straight with it, dun go interested in other offer that are more or else easier. go with consistent

Here on bhw there are tools and people around that will help u.

Great tips! #3 actually struck a chord with me, lounging on the couch with the laptop.

That's exactly why I bought a laptop stand and external keyboard and mouse, something about sitting at a desk feels more productive.

Worth reading for today as I one of those who always loose focus. I have a lot of things need to be done and I'm wondering from website to website and from thread to thread...and that's why my earning is so little.

I think this is one of the best tip I've read from this forum... This is what I need right now...

Most of us here I think are fully loaded of information and yet wants more and more information. And because of that, our time and focus for doing our goals into "action" are eaten.

I only do two things when I was a noob.

Earn Money by finishing the work
Outsource the work

By rinsing and repeating that, not only does it got easier as the months goes by but the income continue to rise on an uphill climb.

Great tips. I have been trying to get myself to do all these but I just can't seem to focus on one thing at a time. Always have 10 different projects to do or else I get bored.

awesome tips, I tend to jump from 1 task to another quite often and really think that it costs me around $100 approx. a week.

yes sometimes you can get so distracted with the next big buzz.......stay focus !!

Thanks :)
I agree, and can easily get sidetracked. I have a goal but its at a frustrating part right now...so I am trying to stay focussed but some time sI get so frustrated I want to punch the computer. Anyway thanks!:)
