I did not know becoming anything had a prerequisite qualification. Self profession is the oldest trick in the game of life. Ones qualification is measured by ones success and you or I are only "qualified" by the results of our efforts or the success of ones method shared.

I am sure if 12 year old kids can do IM then 48 year old clapped out lawyers certainly can. And - IMHO - Most I'mers are I'mers because we either saw it as a less stressful way to make money and / or got sick of dealing face to face with real people in physical life so we took up a cyberlife where there is the ability to sell with completely non verbal communication

Bear in mind that a Lawyer first has to sell themselves (out) before being able to sell anything. The same applies to used car sales people, MLM'ers (fake it till ya make it baby), Real estate agents, funiture shop sales people etc

It is a big differential Gap - between having a product that everyone wants to buy (like icecreams on a hot summers day) and having to "push" a product (selling Deep freezers in winter)

Shawn is the latter - He is a "pusher" - like a drug pusher really - there ain't much diff -he is the type of salesperson who will try to talk you into believing you "need" him - just like he would if he was acting as a lawyer

Shawn Casey, Jim Fleck and Jeff Paul(being sued by FTC) have ripped off hundreds of people that I know of in the last 8- 10 years. They offer 100% money back guarantee but don't always honor it especailly for high ticket items, they always make it sound like it was there fault, that they had done something wrong.

THey also after you buy a product of small value try to upsell you into some kind of coaching, this if you are outside US, they get CC details and charge your card, you get nothing. Kieth wellman and push button traffic do the same thing.

The long and short be warned - if you deal with scum expect to be treated like scum. They are ruth marketers, and I have been at seminars in which they proudly proclaim "the customer is not always right" this is true sometimes but they take it to the extreme.

Shawn stopped being a lawyer because he got sued and ended up broke. You can be one hell of a good salesman, a good marketer, but you are nothing unless you take care of and treat your customers well...

You could learn a thing or two from this guy. Take notes!

I agree - How NOT to do business - these guys have no morals, ethics or anything - a REALLY horrible way to end up if you ask me

The real problem is that many of these so called marketers have absolutely nothing to sell that you can hold in your hand or put to any really good use. In reality their so called product amounts to nothing more than selling the gullible on the idea that they can get rich selling people on the idea that they can get rich by selling the next sucker the same idea over and over again. They do it through what is known as longtail marketing. They put so much verbage on web page after web page that by the time you get done with it you forgot what page one said. Hoodwinking turned into brain washing.

Shawn Casey and more have nothing to sell but a bunch of audio called podcasts or programs that often don't actually do anything or accomplish anything. Casey tells you right up front that you can make a killing with no web site and no product. That really ought to tell the suckers like me who ought to know better that a scam is in progress and should be avoided at any price but their siren songs keep assuring us that if we will only buy their so called product we will learn something of value.

Even if these snake oil salesmen did actually teach us something we didn't already know, there is still no excuse for selling us the same nonsense multiple times, tricking us into buying the same thing we already bought before.

Strangely enough, I don't mind getting bilked out of $27.50 the first time. Its my fault for falling for the scam in the first place but hitting me up the second and third time for the same worthless garbage is simply going too far. Casey did refund one $27.50 but still hasn't refunded the second $27.50 or the third $17.50. That's what really ticks me off.

Someone sent me an email yesterday offering to remedy the situation and I haven't had time to respond to that but I will be doing so sometime today. I see that the two charges were actually paid out by my bank as of yesterday's close of business which shows that although Casey offered to refund all moneys he only refunded one.

I actually wanted to wait until he either did so or the bank paid the two charges so I wouldn't end up getting refunds multiple times and being in the same shoes as Casey. Now that the two charges have been paid out I don't have to worry about getting two refunds on each of the two charges which could have happened as well.

I'll make the phone call later today to get those two charges reversed.

As most here probably know, I consider myself to be a marketer too but I don't use longtail marketing. I tell people what I can do for them right up front. Maybe I should make my spiels a bit longer but far too many people complaint that I'm way too wordy as it is.

It appears that he is willing to return all the funds. I will be getting with him on Monday to finalize that process but I anticipate no problems. I feel I must commend him for that but the fact remains that he has nothing to sell other than what basically amounts to a pyramid scheme. He publicly admits he has no product and claims that those who buy his "product" don't need a product either. Not even a web site. So that basically means you are expected to con others through emails. Spamming in other words.

I don't think that is a very acceptable way to try to earn a living or even extra money.

What I am looking for is a provider with a decent affiliate program who has one or more actual products and can be relied upon to deliver what I advertise as an affiliate.

I really don't care how much commission I make from the sales. I just want good viable filler for my various web sites. Banners, videos or whatever. The more the merrier and if they have enough content I will gladly give them their own web page on my web sites. If they want they can put whatever they want on it so long as it isn't going to get me into any kind of legal problems.

My products deal with credit card debt, mortgage foreclosures and other debt related problems. I also have a program to keep judgment creditors from ever being able to garnish a single dime from anyone regardless of the type of debt. (excluding IRS and student loan type debts) I can't do a thing about those.

My only problem is that I need to get more publicity and one way to do that is to get web sites up and running that have other content than what I produce alone and use them to attract attention on the social media sites.

E-whoring is just one way to do that. Other products will work equally well or better. A mix of products is the best of all. So that is all I am interested in. If I can make a few pennies in the process so much the better.

I agree with Creditwrench, shawn casey is a piece of sh&t. I've never received so much spam as when I signed up for something from this pr|ck. Moral of the story wrench is to stop buying guru crap from him and start getting it here free. 98% of that crap is just that! CRAP! Thats why you should get it here in the DL section.

Shawn Casey is someone you should stay away from. His stuff is garbage but his sales copy is good. Copy his sales copy the one that got you to buy and then use it for yourself. But please -- don't sell garbage like he does.

But you know these guys know this fact, and it is .. even one hit wonder is good business as there are many aspiring internet marketer flocks on the scene every day and they will buy especially his sales copy is good.

I stay away from him period.

It isn't just Shawn Casey. Just about everyone out there is trying to make money. Can't be blamed for that. We all do it. We are all marketers and we all either need something to sell or have something to sell or both. When we buy from another marketer we are hoping to gain something in return even if it is only a savings in time but it gets pretty shabby when we spend money and get nothing in return or what we get is worthless or nearly so.

What I sell is available for free on the internet and in books but those I deal with usually either don't have the time to look for it, study it and put it to use or they are just plainly too stupid or ignorant to use it. That's the way with most information today. It is out there, it is free and readily available but one of the major hurdles is information overload. There is so much information out there that nobody can keep track of it, not even Google, Bing and all the other search engines out there can really keep track of it and serve it up to those in need of it.

The idea that I have to pay big bucks to start some kind of business and then keep on paying for it forever is simply not in the cards as far as I am concerned. I don't mind paying the price whatever that might be but once I have paid the price then I think I should get it all and then let me do with it as I please.
